8 Days Tour to the Imperial Cities of Morocco

We will start the day visiting the Hassan II Mosque, the largest size in the Islamic world after Mecca and Medina. It was built facing the sea, where (two-thirds of the 9-acre site were recovered from the water), it dominates the top of Casablanca 210 m from its minaret. It took the expertise of the best craftsmen of Morocco. Our next thing to do is to visit the Medina of Casablanca and the Habbous neighborhood built by the French in the Arab-Andalusian style. After that, we will head to Rabat.

We visit the Kasbah Oudaya, white and blue houses, and small winding streets. After admiring the enormous doors of the medina, we will spend some time in the Andalusian garden. The tour continues with visiting the Hassan Tower and the Mohammed V mausoleum and ends with the burial of Chellali and its extensive gardens.

After breakfast, our 8 days tour the imperial cities tour of Morocco will take us to the second imperial city, which is Meknes. This city was founded by the late Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century who turned it into the "Versailles of Morocco". 

Our tour of Meknes will start at the impressive Mansour Gate, then you can stretch your legs at the vibrant El-Hedim Square along with the nearby olive market. Visit the Mousoleum of Moulay Ismail, then continue on the track through the high walls of the Royal Palace to the Royal Granaries and stables where the Sultan used to look after his 12000 horses..

Today, we will resume our 8 days tour to imperial cities of Morocco by including a guided walking tour around the Roman Ruins of Volubilis offering an opportunity to learn about the rich history of the Romans that settled in Morocco.

Later, we will continue on the track to the imperial city of Fes, which is the oldest imperial city.

We will visit Medina (ancient city), the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Founded in 789, it extends 818 strong, welcoming the Muslims chased out of Cordova, and continued to expand in concentric circles until the seventeenth century when the Alawite gap in favor of Meknes.

World Heritage Site, the Medina incorporates some of the most beautiful monuments of Islamic architecture, the mosque Karaouiyine Medersa Bou Inania and El-Attarine Zaouia of Moulay Idriss, El Fondouk Nejjarine museum now transformed. You can also see the district tanners.

Today, we will have a long drive to Marrakech through the lush Middle Atlas including the city of Beni Mellal. Once you arrive in Marrakech, you may want to stretch your legs in the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square that turns into a carnival filled with acrobats, snake charmers, musicians, magicians, and food stalls that serve Moroccan delicacies.

After breakfast, we will spend the day exploring what Marrakech has to offer with a local tour guide beginning with a nice drive through the Ville Nouvelle before getting to the Majorelle Gardens.

Visit the ancient Medina of Marrakech with its attractions including the Koutoubia Mosque that was built in the 12th century, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the bustling Souks that are divided into sections before ending our day tour of Marrakech at the Jemaa el-Fna Square.
